Let's talk about demonstrating academic rigor.
Taking challenging classes, such as Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or college classes, is one way that high school students can demonstrate academic rigor.
AP classes are high school courses that are designed to be equivalent to college-level classes. Students who take AP classes can earn college credit if they score well on the AP exam at the end of the course. AP classes typically require more effort and critical thinking than regular high school classes, and they can help students demonstrate their ability to handle college-level material.
IB classes are a program offered by some high schools that follows a specific curriculum and assessment system. The IB program is recognized by many universities around the world, and students who complete the program may be eligible for college credit. Like AP classes, IB classes are typically more challenging than regular high school classes and can help students demonstrate their ability to handle college-level material.
Some high schools may also offer the opportunity for students to take college classes while still in high school. These classes are typically taken at a local college and are taught by college instructors. Taking college classes can help students demonstrate their ability to handle college-level material and may also earn them college credit.
In general, taking challenging classes, such as AP, IB, or college classes, can help high school students demonstrate their ability to handle the demands of higher education and prepare them for success in college and beyond.

Any advice for a first time college Child w/ a parent that is a Veteran ?
Do colleges care if you are in a sports team. I used to be a really good swimmer before the swim team ended due to covid 19. If i join back and get some state times or something like that, would it affect anything?
My son also got invited for the interview with Harvey Mud College. Though it is not required, my son scheduled one with the school. Does it help him to increase the chance to be accepted?
My 16yr old is now a full time student at community college. She plans to transfer to 4year. Are the transfer agreement in Assist.org the only way to apply? Her dream UC only has certain majors listed.
So do you personally work w/ our Child to assist w/ the application process
What if I needed to change or correct the FAFSA after it was submitted, what should I do?
